2017, come at me bro

It’s that time of the year when I’d rather look like a baked potato wrapped in 30 layers of clothing than let the cold get to me. It’s also the time of sweater paws, beanies that sit weird on my head, and changes. It’s January 2017.

For most of us, January represents a new beginning, the chance to detach ourselves from the year that has passed and venture into the exciting unknown. It means writing or thinking about resolutions and goals that we strive to achieve, such as getting in shape, eating healthier or spending more time doing what we love, a blank page, a fresh start.

We want this year to be amazing, better than the year before it, and the year before that, and I honestly believe that it’s not as difficult as it sounds. Sure, you will encounter bad days. You will wake up feeling tired, sad, lacking motivation. I’ve been there and you can clearly see that from the number of posts that are posted on my blog (which has been up since July!), but I am still not willing to give up. I am determined to mold my 2017, to make it wonderful, to mark it by as many achievements and happy moments as possible, and you should do that too. I want to be more active on the blog, to exercise more and be able to do 20 pushups, to read at least one book per week and to learn how to save money, among other things. I want to enjoy my last year of high school, to have fun with the people I love and to learn to appreciate everything around me.

This year, I want to grow as a person and become better. What are your goals?

  1. Cute outfit! My goals for 2017 are to spend less money, read my Bible daily and to keep my house more organized

    1. Thank you! Those are lovely goals, and I especially like the spending less money one, will put it on my list! Good luck with accomplishing them <3

  2. Haha your comment of the baked potato wrapped in layers made me laugh out loud. I’m totally the same time during this time of the year. I’m basically cold all year long and during winter time it’s worse. The only place I typically feel comfortable temperature-wise is when I’m visiting Mexico or another hot destination. I’m so ready for 2017 and really excited for what it may have to offer =)

Have a great rest of your week babe!

    1. Yay, I’m so glad you enjoyed that, it’s the best way I could describe the feeling this awful weather gives me haha. Hot destinations are amazing, wish I could just fly away to some tropical place right now! I hope 2017 has a lot of amazing things in store for you, Rina xx

  3. Love your outfit. I have a bag that kind of matches your hat. I hope you achieve your goals!

  4. That’s such a cute sweater, girlie! This year, I’m looking to grow and mature in my character and strengthen certain qualities, which I find to be important. Growing as a person overall, aside from the common weight loss and better eating is much more significant and impacts all the rest in my opinion. Thanks for sharing and I hope you’re having a great start to your week so far, babe!
